Fund Raising Activities

Each year we produce a calendar featuring high quality photographs of interesting local spots. The 2024 calendar will be available in our on line shop and at our events from November onwards.

We have pack3 of 5 high quality cards and envelopes featuring professional photographs from our beautiful local area(Marple/Romiley/Mellor). The cards are blank for your own message. They are available to buy in our on line shop ( https://romiley-and-marple-lions-club.sumupstore.com/) and are also available at our fund raising events. 

We attend several fetes and fairs during the year. Not only do the help to promote our club and what we do but they also generate much need funds for our welfare activities.

The annual Santa Dash has been a family fun feature for many years at Christmas in Marple. All entrants get a free santa costume and a free ticket for a ride to Santa's Grotto on the Dragon Miniature Railway.

We first teamed up with the Dragon MiniatureRailway in 2009 and I think I can safely say that many local families (and probably some from outside the area) look forward to visiting Father Christmas in his beautifully decorated grotto (usually a tunnel or storage area for the trains) or just having a train ride round the equally beautifully decorated circuit. Brian and his team of volunteers really do transform the whole area into a Christmas Winter Wonderland.
